2011 in full swing

Well where to begin the last time I posted on this blog was in 2007 for a creative writing class in high school. Man a lot has happened since then! Ahlerich and I moved to England to attend university and to compete, we have had a blast since moving here in 2008 and the last two seasons have been fantastic and we successfully have moved up the to advanced level and competed in out first CIC*** @ Hartpury.

Well now onto the fun stuff Ahlerich had 3 months holiday this year it was the first time that I have ever given him a holiday and he truely enjoyed it. He came back in a sounder happier horse! He is now back into full work and our first event is only two weeks away. I must say I am very excited to get back in the start box again and hear 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 GO!!!! Although the dressage may be a different story I may be hanging on for dear life.

So far everything seems to be going well he is very excited with life but making baby steps into the right direction. He is currently at Murrels End Farm which is only ten minutes from my house it is so nice to have him so close to me and be able to ride him everyday. But we are looking forward to going back to Washbrook farm to see and train with my wonderful coach Ann Taylor.

As everyone who is envovled with horses knows that plans never really go according to plan BUT the plan for this year is to do my first CCI*** hopefully at Blenheim in September. I hope you enjoy the journey and the ups and downs of eventing.
